Deep acne scars, such as ice pick scars can be very difficult to treat and do not respond to laser treatments. TCA Cross technique is the application of Trichloroacetic Acid into ice pick or boxcar scars, stimulating collagen production in the scar. It is very effective but may need to be repeated multiple times, typically 3 until 4 times. Patients can experience significant improvement.
